Allegra FTP Server Connection Guide

Allegra Print & Imaging has set up an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Server to assist our valued customers in sending large electronic files to us over the internet. The FTP Server works as a holding place for computer files that anyone can access from their computer. We have supplied the following information to aid you in gaining access to our server.

FTP Client Programs (*If you already have an FTP Client installed, you can skip this section)
• For Windows users, we recommend “FileZilla” which can be downloaded for free from http://filezilla.sourceforge.net. Click the “Download FileZilla Client” button, click on the link to download the setup program, called something like “FileZilla_3.0.10_win32-setup.exe” Once downloaded, run the setup program and follow the instructions to install FileZilla, then launch the program.
**NOTE: As of January 2010 FileZilla requires either “Windows 7, XP or Vista”.
  1. Enter the FTP Server info (see section below) into the ADDRESS, USER, and PASSWORD boxes (located along the top of the main window - you can leave the PORT box as-is).
  2. Click Quickconnect. Local files (on YOUR computer) are listed in the middle-left section, remote files (the FTP server) are listed in the middle-right section.
  3. To upload, just drag your file to the REMOTE FILES section. The bottom section shows the upload progress.

• Mac users may download “Cyberduck” for free from http://cyberduck.ch - the download link is on the right-hand side of the page. Once installed, simply launch the program.
**NOTE: As of January 2010 Cyberduck requires Mac OS 10.5 or later.
  1. Click the NEW CONNECTION button at the top of the main window.
  2. Enter the FTP Server info (see section below) and click CONNECT.
  3. When connected, you can upload by simply dragging your file into the main window. A window will pop up to show progress on the upload.
